She's a natural!
Let me put it simply, Mathan is really good at everything,

including taking professional quality pictures. This is the

view from our backyard on a rare foggy morning right before

sunrise.

Uncle McKay is leaving on a mission to Madagascar in

March. May is going to miss him so much!

I love how graceful May looks in this pic. She is such

a character sometimes.

It's the end of the world as you know it.

Well, for better or worse we will have a new president tomorrow. I'm inclined to think it will be for the worse. Here comes unhindered abortion, gay marriage/adoption, and socialized everything. Open borders, blanket amnesty, gun control, all while selling ourselves and our children to china. All of the above are wolves in sheep's clothing. All in the name of "Fairness" and "Safety". There, I'll stop now before I build up steam. Well, we are in for "drastic changes" as Pres. Packer put it. Thank heaven for the peace the gospel brings. I hope we all have enough strength in us to swim upstream and go the opposite direction of the world. Remember what is right and true and hang on to it! Don't worry, this story has a happy ending! If your on the right side and prepared that is. "The last days are not a time to fear, but they are a time to remember your covenants." JRHolland

EAC

My brother David and I took a trip down to Thatcher for two receptions and to visit some old haunts. It's about a four hour drive from Woodruff but we talked the whole way and that made it bearable. We had fun swapping stories about old roommates and dates and some of the interesting people you run into at a place like EA. We hiked up red knolls and drove up the mountain to the wall, and fed the ducks at the fairgrounds, and ate at some of our favorite restaurants. David got to see Kimberly and Emmit's house that he made the plans for, which turned out great by the way. In all it was a wonderful day. It was nice to have a break from the girls and do something with David. I don't think we've done anything with just the two of us since he got married. We hit both receptions and then left for home. That place is full of so many good memories. Its the only other place that feels like home to me. I loved how warm it was. I'm so glad I had those years to be on my own and just have fun. I got a degree out of it too. Winter must be cold for those with no warm EA memories.

Happy New Year!

Well Christmas had come and gone and it was wonderful and busy as always. December was full of concerts and programs and TONS of sugar. May and Ellen loved all the excitement and beautiful lights. Not to mention all the family parties and gifts. Hopefully we can get through January's doldrums cheerfully. Only three months till spring! That sounds better than "Winter has only just begun." I just cleared my last December hurdle today when I spoke in church. Phew! It's good to have that off my list. It went really well. At the last minute before I stood up I was going over what I would say and thought "What a stupid idea for a talk!" but thankfully that passed and I know the spirit touched a few people. Next week May will start primary. Ellen just joined the nursery in December. Time is flying! Ellen is learning a lot of new words and surprises us all the time. The other night we were playing games at my parents and Ellen found a little container of honey. She got the lid open and was dipping her finger in and loving it. I caught her and couldn't help singing "whinny the Pooh" and she piped up and said POOH! Our sweet girls keep up laughing.

We finally joined the crowd and started a blog! Hopefully we can keep up with it and have fun posting all the crazy, funny, wonderful things that go on in our lives. TTFN
