My brother David and I took a trip down to Thatcher for two receptions and to visit some old haunts. It's about a four hour drive from
Woodruff but we talked the whole way and that made it bearable. We had fun
swapping stories about old roommates and dates and some of the interesting people you run into at a place like EA. We hiked up red knolls and drove up the mountain to the wall, and fed the ducks at the fairgrounds, and ate at some of our favorite restaurants. David got to see Kimberly and Emmit's house that he made the plans for, which turned out great by the way. In all it was a wonderful day. It was nice to have a break from the girls and do something with David. I don't think we've done anything with just the two of us since he got married. We hit both receptions and then left for home. That place is full of so many good memories. Its the only other place that feels like home to me. I
loved how warm it was. I'm so glad I had those years to be on my own and just have fun. I got a degree out of it too. Winter must be cold for those with no warm EA memories.
